Pencil Sketch 2003

I think some images appeal because the shapes they articulate physically may be something we would like to express (in that moment) but can’t. More simply, we want to do what we see. Or maybe that’s just me, because I’ve spent the last few days ensconced in aeroplane seats, taxis, buses and cars and I’m writing this on a packed, early morning train to Glasgow and would like nothing more than to get on the table and stretch over. I’m not sure the commuters would appreciate it. Especially if I was naked. I suppose we must observe the boundaries!
